Returning Home
As your Scholarship draws to a close, you will be thinking about your return to your home country. There’s a lot to consider on both personal and professional levels. Some institutions will offer a session to guide you through some of the aspects regarding your return, such as finalising your affairs in Australia and dealing with reverse culture shock. Talk to your Student Contact Officer for more information on the support provided by your university or institution.
You will also receive support from Australia Awards regarding the professional aspects of your return home. In your final semester, you will be invited to complete an online module that covers transitioning back into the workplace, becoming a change agent and leadership. Australia Awards will also provide helpful resources to scholars who are seeking employment in their home country.
